Job Description:
You will serve as a Supervisory Engineer/Scientist in the Acquisition Assurance Division, Acquisition and Readiness Assessment Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 pay band (GS-09/11) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist applying engineering/scientific processes and project management theories and practices to develop, analyze, plan, and scope weapons system requirements, develop project plans, and build detailed, comprehensive cost estimates impacting fleet warfare commands and functions. You will be responsible for the execution of the branch's day to day operations and ensures the delivery of quality products on time and within budget.
You will apply Human Capital Management policies and regulations in leading and managing personnel assigned to the branch.
You will administer the branch budget, manage customer relationships and programs, execute the Command strategic direction, create and promote a shared vision of the organization, and foster cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups.
You will establish objectives, set priorities, use internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the branch.
You will evaluate performance and provides appropriate feedback including recognizing superior performance.
You will apply System Engineering principles and risk management techniques as they apply to the development, production, and support of DoD, DON, and MARCORP missile, weapons, ships, air, defense, and munition programs.
