You will serve as the EAST COAST INSTALLATION COORDINATION TEAM (ICT) TEAM LEAD in the AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing assessment, alteration development, and material readiness support for electronics combat and missile systems onboard Amphibious Assault Ships. You will be responsible for planning, organizing and chairing ICT meetings for Amphibious Assault ships throughout their availabilities.
You will plan, manage, and accomplish complex Amphibious ship-related projects.
You will provide feedback on availability planning, combat system testing events, hardware and software installations, combat system surveys, combat system alignments and combat system certifications.
You will conduct engineering studies, attend design reviews, support land-based or operational test and evaluation, and analyze maintenance and repair of the Integrated Combat System (ICS).
You will support the successful installation and industrial testing of the shipboard Combat Systems for Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) ICS ships.
You will demonstrate familiarity with ship maintenance and upgrade during Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Availabilities, understanding both technical and programmatic elements of advanced Amphibious Assault Ship programs.
