You will serve as the Distinguished Scientist/Engineer Chief Technology Officer of Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and tasking across the NSWCDD departments and product lines to foster technological innovation.
You will provide the vision of NSWCDD technology efforts and capabilities by leading the community of practice and providing leadership and guiding the future direction for technology investments.
You will manage laboratory-directed science and technology programs.
You will provide technical leadership and vision for the NSWC Dahlgren Division Naval Innovative Science and Engineering (NISE) command portfolio, Other Transactional Authority (OTA), contract vehicle, and strategic collaborations and partnerships.
You will provide advice and recommendations to NSWCDD senior leadership.
