One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: conducting analysis of financial systems and supporting their design, development, and maintenance; or applying comprehensive understanding of financial management concepts in automated system processes and operations. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service. ** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing. ** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Assesses data requirements for the enhancement of automated financial management systems.
Reviews operational capabilities and provides comments and recommendations for proposed changes, coordinating with peers throughout the directorate to determine the best method for accomplishing the system change.
Establishes conditions and requirements for tests, assembles project of functional users, establishes project requirements and timetables, and provides technical advice and assistance to team members for the interpretation of system controls.
Provides technical advice in determining the extent of the system problem, potential solutions, and required action for resolution.
Researches, analyzes, and resolves daily system problems related to system interface, database management, and processing cycles.
