This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering techniques, methods, and procedures to inspect, test and perform maintenance on munitions to ensure operational readiness. You will be responsible for expediting sampling and recertification as Ready for Issue (RFI) resulting in reductions in transportation and handling costs.
You will inspect, test and perform maintenance on Navy and Marine Corps ammunition stock.
You will review and ensure proper sentencing of ammunition, ordnance, and related items based on condition.
You will issue Ammunition Information Notices (AINs) or maintenance actions, ultimately increasing the availability of serviceable assets for the Fleet.
You will handle Ammunition and Explosives and will maintain qualification in accordance with OPNAVINST 8023.24 when performing quality assurance or safety observer functions to support the Mobile Ammunition Evaluation and Reconditioning Unit mission.
