Job Description:
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/PROFESSIONAL in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. This position has a control point equivalent to the GS-13, Step-10 level.
In addition to the Basic Education Requirement, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 to GS-11 or NT-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying key processes, controls, and risks for accounting events to meet audit requirements; 2) Monitoring financial management information indicators to assess the operational health and audit readiness; and 3) Developing and monitoring internal controls for major segments of accounting operations. You will work as a technical specialist in the application of accounting principles and policies to modernize existing systems.
You will monitor performance measurement and financial management information indicators for assessing the operational health of the audit readiness of the organization and the accounts managed.
You will identify key processes, controls, and risks for accounting events to meet audit requirements.
You will conduct in-depth studies of situations/conditions/problems typically involving complex, highly integrated accounting systems, costing, and financial management execution activities.
You will develop and monitor accounting operations to provide reasonable assurance of accounting audit readiness.
