This position is located at Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation, Fort Stewart GA. This position is Regular Full-time with full benefits. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Managerial experience which includes executive knowledge and ability to perform Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) functions for a garrison (e.g. integrate plans into appropriated and Nonappropriated fund annual operating budgets, review program changes, evaluate goal achievement and program execution, etc.). 2. Willing to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 and Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD directives. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": HIGHLY PREFERRED: Possess a minimum of three (3) years experience at the Division Chief level of at least one division within FMWR (Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation). Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications, & Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly qualified list.
Serves as a full Deputy to the Director, Family, FMWR for a large/mega large garrison by performing a variety of duties in the short and long range planning, coordination, and daily oversight of all matters pertaining to the Directorate.
Intergrates plans into appropriated and nonappropriated fund annual operating budgets.
Reviews program changes and discusses changes in goals and objectives with activity managers and supervisors, ensuring objectives and goals are attainable and economically feasible.
Evaluates goal achievement and program execution. Represents the Director in all matters including the coordination of programs and activities within and outside the directorate.
Responsible for assuming the duties of the director in his/her absence.
