Job Description:

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for Overseeing a manpower management program to include studies, staffing patterns to justify manpower requirements and allocation of positions for an organization; developing manpower policies and standard operating procedures; leading manpower reviews, projects and analysis for an organization.
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Overseeing a manpower management program to include studies, staffing patterns to justify manpower requirements and allocation of positions for an organization; developing manpower policies and standard operating procedures; leading manpower reviews, projects and analysis for an organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0343-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Supports the entire range of manpower management to include conducting manpower and organizational assessments, reviewing manpower requirements and performing manpower surveys. Provides advice and assistance to management officials on organizational alignment and/or requirements for additional manpower. Formulates, develops, revises and staffs recommended manpower policy. Develops comprehensive reports of findings to ensure the best possible solutions, recommendations, advice, and assistance are provided to leadership. Provides technical guidance on manpower and organizational projects. Plans, reviews, and leads manpower analyses of specific functional areas. Occasionally works with senior leaders to determine appropriate manpower required to perform approved tasks and functions.
