About the Position: This position is with Keller Army Community Hospital 900 Washington Road West Point, NY 10996. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Pharmacist: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirement above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors. Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes overseeing pharmacy functions within a medical clinic, establishing overall work to be accomplished; and providing training or oversight to pharmacy staff.
Serves as Supervisory Pharmacist for Civilian Pharmacists and Clinical Pharmacists with shared responsibility for the full range of administrative requirements to include policies, procedures, supplies, budget, and equipment acquisition.
Serves as the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Formulary Manager.
Serves as the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee Coordinator.
Plans work schedules, establishes priorities, makes assignments, monitors progress in terms of timeliness and accuracy of work performed, and makes temporary reassignments of employees between jobs to meet workload demands
Serves as a Staff Pharmacist for, but not limited to, Main Outpatient, Community Based Medical Home, the PX Refill Pharmacy, the installation’s Clinical Pharmacies, as mission needs arises.
Updates Clinical Pharmacists protocols and privileges as necessary.
Advises on The Joint Commission (JTC) Medication Management standards.
