Job Description:

You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC LEADER in the Facilities Sustainment Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) The ability to independently overhaul, rebuild, modify, troubleshoot, adjust, install, test, inspect, fabricate and maintain subassemblies and units of moderately complex electronic equipment; 2) Having knowledge of shop AOR electronic equipment and systems for the purpose of providing highest level guidance and execution of complex and difficult troubleshoot, repair, install work requests; and 3) Having knowledge of work flow process from induction of work order to completion of job. You will have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and install various makes and models of Intrusion Detection and Access control systems
You will have the ability to independently overhaul, rebuild, modify, troubleshoot, adjust, install, test, inspect, fabricate and maintain subassemblies and units of moderately complex electronic equipment
You will have the skill in applying subject matter expertise to use various tools and test equipment for troubleshoot, repair, and install of Intrusion Detection and Access Control systems
You will have the ability to communicate with facility POCs and service desk to comprehend the difficulty of work requests and coordinate with respective trade shops for support
