GS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must meet have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as monitoring the execution of a budget with many different sources and types of funding; reviewing accounting documents for budget execution activities such as obligations, payments, corrections, and adjustments; presenting findings and recommendations to top levels of management; preparing estimates, auditing expenditures, and utilizing an automated financial management information system to enter financial data, track funds, and develop reports. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If selected for this position, you will be responsible for the management and control of the district's short and long-range budget. Typical work assignments will include: Developing and maintaining a comprehensive financial management program that involves both long-range and programmatic plans and the annual budget; Developing financial policies to facilitate achievement of program goals and office objectives; Managing the certification of obligations for the office; Providing technical guidance, advice, and assistance to the Administrative Officer and the U.S. Attorney in the identification of future resource requirements, and in the planning and development of future budget requirements; Preparing annual administrative budgets and operating plans; Preparing justifications for recommended allocation levels, particularly deviations from initial office submissions; and Preparing monthly financial and budgetary reports to office management, and quarterly reports to the agency.
