Job Description:

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and implementing appropriate procedures during assembly, overhaul, installation, and production of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment and related equipment to assure quality and/or reliability of products. 2) Using checklists, blueprints, test directives, and/or system technical manuals to inspect materials and components under repair/overhaul 3) Conducting audits of products and processes to ensure compliance and to detect processing and technical documentation deficiencies 4) Operating and maintaining certifications for precision measuring devices such as optical comparators, optical alignment measuring equipment, electronic height gages, and other inspection/test equipment. You will conduct quality assurance inspections on Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment and Support Equipment systems, exercise independent judgment to resolve technical discrepancies, and provide the final product acceptance.
You will set up, program, and operate sophisticated inspection equipment, while also operating and maintaining all required personal certifications for precision measuring devices.
You will collaborate with engineering and production staff to determine the appropriate disposition of materials that do not meet quality standards.
You will conduct product and process audits, analyze the resulting quality data to identify trends, and prepare technical reports recommending corrective actions.
You will develop or revise quality checklists and evaluate the effectiveness of procedures for controlling technical drawings and data.
You will actively participate in continuous improvement teams to identify and eliminate waste from work processes.
