TO QUALIFY FOR ND-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 band (GS-09 through GS-11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying principles of mechanical engineering to perform system safety engineering for weapons development or support and analysis for Surface Systems (i.e. missiles or guns) applications. TO QUALIFY FOR ND-03 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-02 band (GS-05 through GS-08 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer applying basic principles of mechanical engineering to accomplish developmental assignments utilizing basic techniques, procedures, and methods. You will serve as an ENGINEER (MECHANICAL ENGINEER) in the Energetic Systems Division (E1), Surface Systems Branch (E14) of Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division located in Indian Head, MD.
You will be responsible for all aspects of weapons and energetics including Mechanical and chemical properties, Weapon System Safety, Statistical analysis of failure, In Service Engineering (ISE), or Insensitive Munitions (IM) program.
You may also support other energetic related programs.
You will prepare and review budgets, cost estimates, schedules, proposals, procedures, presentations, technical reports and other documents.
You will communicate and collaborate to organize a team of individuals to provide engineering support to the customer.
