Job Description:

This position is located at MWR Outdoor Recreation Pass & Permit, Fort Stewart, GA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. A Relocation incentive may be authorized up to $10,000.
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Directly related work experience that included the goals, principles, method of techniques, of outdoor recreation and understanding the interests of individuals and groups. Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluating community, industrial, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs. Work experience supervising support staff in outdoor recreation programs. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Preferred are those applicants that possess a Certified Leisure Professional through National Recreation and Park Association and work experience as indicated above and a bachelor's degree in the recreation/outdoor program areas. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": 3 years experience maintaining 3 or more Outdoor Recreation facilities. Experience planning and executing multiple recreation programming activities. Applicants that meet the minimum experience and the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management first.
Develops, manages, maintains and administers the installation Outdoor Recreation Program and facilities.
Plans, supervises and directs outdoor recreation activities and services which may constitute a year-round or seasonal program.
Responsible for inventories and property; determines equipment condition; initiates maintenance, repair or replacement as appropriate. Recommends purchase/construction of equipment and facilities.
Prepares appropriated and nonappropriated budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with regulations. Ensures proper procedures are used to ensure that no misappropriation of funds occurs and maintains effective internal controls.
Integrates risk management, and installation and organization safety program requirements into everyday operations and activities. Supervises recreation, administrative support and maintenance staff.
