About the Position: The position provides both technical and administrative supervision for the Railroad Maintenance Vehicle Operators, carrying full supervisory authority.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Railroad Maintenance Vehicle Operator Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Perform common technical and administrative duties. I can prioritize workload based off of further deadlines, identify training needs, and perform railroad maintenance vehicle operations. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Lead or Supervise Ability to Operate Safely (Non-motor Vehicles) Ability to Plan and Organize Work Managing Human Resources Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order)
Plan distribution prescribing deadlines and sequence of work on a day-to-day or project-to-project basis for subordinates.
Explain work requirements, methods, procedures, specific hazards, and safety precautions to personnel.
Develop performance standards, counsel employees on performance, and make formal and informal performance appraisals.
Operate various railroad maintenance equipment, such as tie tamper, tie inserter, railroad track liner, on and off-track railway crane, mobile spiking machine, ballast regulator, and spike puller.
Ensure all personnel follow established safety rules and regulations.
