About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 9 Force Support Squadron Unit Training Office, Beale AFB, CA. This role is for Regular Full-Time employment, offering benefits and ensuring a minimum of 35 hours of work weekly, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of service-based programs and objectives in order to identify training requirements, skill upgrades, & development programs that will assist in meeting the Force Support business management and customer service objectives is desirable. Must be familiar with military & civilian training program processes, or training program processes in parallel business and industry organizations. Knowledge of skill in developing course materials and instructional methods, principles, and techniques in order to develop self contained training courses, obtains training resources, and assesses overall effectiveness. Skill in use of audio-visual equipment and automation software, including all Microsoft Office Programs. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing; speaks publicly & conducts training in a classroom/seminar setting. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must have good interpersonal skills and be a team-player.
The Unit Training Manager is a key member in the Commander's Support Staff. The UTM is responsible for overall management of the training, safety, and OPS EC programs as well as a number of other additional duties assigned. The UTM serves as the training consultant to all unit members and determines if quality training programs are in effect within all sections. UTMs implement and manage training programs, policies, and procedures, as directed by higher headquarters, commanders, and Base Training. They are to advise and assist commanders and unit personnel in executing their training responsibilities. The UTM conducts quarterly unit training meetings with supervisors and attends all Base Training meetings. The UTM manages OJT Roster and Upgrade Training Program (UGT) for all military personnel, to include the enrollment, tracking and completion of a member's Career Development Courses (CDC). Responsible for planning, administering, developing and evaluating assigned to the Force Support Squadron. Identifies appropriate resources and vendors and ensures funding is acquired. Develops and maintains a comprehensive collection of training materials and develops, when necessary, comprehensive educational curricula to meet specific training requirements. Develops and implements testing procedures for required certification. Ensures all personnel are trained, documenting and updating training records once completed, tracking individual and collective status, personnel are enrolled in career development programs as required, etc. Develops and conducts various training courses, formal and informal, such as New Employee Orientation, Customer Service, Safety Training, etc. for all Force Support Activities and Programs.
