About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist to the Installation Range Complex in developing and coordinating the planning, operation and evaluation of matters pertaining to Procurement, Supply, Services, Maintenance, Transportation and miscellaneous logistical support with particular emphasis on IRC training support programs and requirements. Serves as the Action Officer for logistical support planning and as special support requirements for all training events and exercises.

For the GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing logistical operations support in relation to supply, equipment maintenance and/or procurement; utilizing an automated supply system to track logistical information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. [remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. For the GS11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing logistics management services pertaining to personal property accountability and utilizing an automated supply system to analyze logistical information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. This is a developmental position; duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-09 grade level. At the full performance, GS-11, the incumbent will:
Responsible for the execution of ordering, receiving, storing, accountability, and turn-in of equipment in coordination with appropriate Directorate operating elements.
Serves as a principal advisor to all matters requiring Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) expertise.
Serves as the Command’s point of contact for IRC Materiel Readiness related matters. Monitors the program for logistic reporting in accordance with current DoD and USARAK policies and procedures.
Develops internal standard operating procedures, policy statements and letter directives that effect external activities based on regulations and directives from higher authority. Collects and maintains program data.
Executes a wide range of logistical support functions which include sustainment operations (supply/warehouse/ Global Combat Support System – Army), maintenance, logistics planning and coordination for the IRC.
