Job Description:

This position is located in Wolf Trap for the Performing arts Park. The incumbent will loads, unloads, moves, and stacks material such as heavy boxes and heavy items by hand, hand trucks, or dollies. Opens crates and boxes using crowbars and cuts bands using shears. Places items where directed. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is April-December but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2026
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: You must have the ability to do the work of a Laborer, WG 3502-02, without more than normal supervision. (Screen Out) Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order). Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (other than blueprints). Ability to Use and Maintain tools and Equipment. Dexterity and Safety. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. The major duties of the LABORER WG-3502-02 position include, but are not limited to, the following: Incumbent performs tasks that require very heavy physical effort and the use of common hand tools. Perform manual tasks such as moving, loading, stacking, arranging, collecting and cleaning. Utilize safety practices and procedures while following established safety rules.
