Job Description:
You will serve as an Alarm Monitor/Dispatcher in the Provost Marsal Office/Marine Corps Police Department of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring and troubleshooting electronic security systems, Intrusion Detection System, alarm, mass notification and CCTV systems; 2) Receiving and processing incoming fire alarms, 911 calls, emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire, medical emergencies or incidents, airfield emergencies and environmental and hazardous materials incidents; and 3) Dispatching personnel and apparatus to emergencies, record data, events and logs and initiate instructions to callers for fire, medical and police emergencies. You will monitor and troubleshoot all Marine Corps Electronic Security Systems, Intrusion Detection System, alarm, mass notification and CCTV systems installed and annunciating at the Provost Marshal Office/Marine Corps Police Department.
You will receive and process incoming fire alarms, 911 calls, emergency and non-emergency requests for police, fire, medical emergencies, airfield emergencies, and environmental and hazardous materials incidents.
You will dispatch personnel and apparatus to the scene of emergencies, record pertinent data, events, and logs, and initiate pre-arrival instructions to callers for fire, medical, and police emergencies.
You will monitor status and availability of police, fire, and medical field units to assure an appropriate response is made.
