Job Description:

As a Financial Analyst, the incumbent works to support the Director, Deputy Director, and the Office of TM Legal Review on a wide range of matters relating to the work of the Division, including matters which require close collaboration with senior staff of the Division, other Divisions and Offices of the Commission, and the offices of the Chair and other Commissioners.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-14 level. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SK-16: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-14 level: Leading the development and analysis of diverse financial and project models to assess and consolidate risk across initiatives; AND Conducting comprehensive financial and project evaluations to provide senior leadership with strategic recommendations; AND Planning and directing complex projects with a focus on risk management to enable strategic outcomes.
The selectee must possess strong organizational skills, excellent judgment and discretion, knowledge of TM and SEC procedures, and a strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of diverse parties. In this role, the selectee will be responsible for: Carrying out a variety of projects and tasks at the direction of the Director, Deputy Director, and/or TM Legal Review Office Associate Director. Drafting talking points and other communications, coordinating the activities of various offices within the Division to complete significant projects - including preparing for congressional testimony by the Chair and Director, and coordinating comments regarding the Division position on pending legislation and interagency projects. Project Management: Designs workstreams and manages critical initiatives across multiple functional areas, including rulemaking, policy development, and interagency coordination, while leveraging advanced technology platforms to deliver strategic outcomes.
