In addition to the basic education requirement your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialist experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional engineering experience leading the design, development, and testing of complex weapon systems across multiple engineering disciplines. You will oversee the development, design, and testing of complex missile system components, ensuring that all performance and reliability requirements are met throughout the system’s lifecycle.
You will manage and supervise a team of engineers, setting priorities, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely project completion, while providing guidance and conducting performance evaluations.
You will provide technical direction and coordination for safety, performance, reliability, and maintainability programs, ensuring the integration and application of these requirements across various engineering disciplines.
You will represent the organization in meetings with external stakeholders, including other government agencies, contractors, and senior management, making decisions that impact the development and performance of missile systems.
You will ensure compliance with government directives and policies, interpret technical specifications and contracts, and implement local standards for hardware and software applications related to missile systems.
