This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel, Managing Executive's Business Solutions Office, which is responsible for managing the office's resources including finance, contracts, eDiscovery and Litigation support, technical support and personnel.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. BASIC REQUIREMENT: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: Attention to Detail - Reviewing work to ensure it is in line with established standards or to identify deficiencies; Customer Service - Collaborating with customers to identify their information technology needs or to resolve their hardware and software problems; Oral Communication - Explaining technical information orally to non-technical audiences; Problem Solving - Evaluating alternatives to recommend solutions to hardware or software problems. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement. SK-15: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Overseeing e-discovery platforms and related software through managing large-scale database management systems, developing user interfaces, and generating specialized reports; AND Assisting legal teams with litigation support tasks, such as managing e-discovery requirements, coordinating case information, and providing technical expertise to attorneys and support staff; AND Leading projects or teams by providing direction to staff and coordinating work assignments.
As a eDiscovery and Litigation Support Supervisor, you will: Direct and manage eDiscovery and litigation support and acts as the experts technical advisor for litigation, FOIA, and legislative teams throughout the Office of General Counsel. Manage multiple e-discovery and litigation support projects with competing demands and schedules while working with both technical and non-technical personnel. Manage and direct the overall operations, programming, case management, and procedures related to the Internal E-Discovery Program within the Office of General Counsel. Negotiate and interact with staff at all levels both within the Office of General Counsel and external to an organization, and participates in conferences with Staff and with outside parties where delivery methods and standards are discussed. Conduct feasibility studies and define/analyze requirements for e-discovery and litigation support software/applications, matter management systems, and hardware and software implementations. Conduct high level oral presentations to management and staff and draft technical and summarization documents for technical and non-technical staff. Communicate with technical and non-technical staff regarding specific technological applications, and trains or otherwise provides technical assistance in the use of Casepoint, CaseMap, TextMap and other e-discovery and litigation support software.
