You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Airborne Electronic Attack Systems Division (WXS), Electromagnetic Spectrum Department (WX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, leading and executing root cause analysis efforts to track engineering program and technical risks for the improved efficiency of electronic warfare system design and development in alignment with mission requirements. You will ensure compliance with technical execution reviews, including oversight of division-level technical execution reviews, and the coordination of Department and Command level technical reviews of division projects.
You will oversee the division risk management process in accordance with division, department, and command instructions to ensure sound application, and participate in risk reviews as appropriate.
You will ensure the division embraces a culture of continuous improvement to its products and services, including the establishment and maintenance of technical methods and processes.
You will support technical planning, coordination with division manager, department Chief Strategist and CHENG to support creation and execution of WFC, Command, Department, and Division vision, strategy, and goals within the division.
You will ensure all test procedures and processes are properly reviewed and documented prior to allowing testing to proceed and review all test setups prior to initial test operation.
