You will serve as an EMERGENCY RESPONSE COORDINATOR in the Radiological Control Office of PSNS and IMF.
GS 12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer or Health Physicist drafting procedures, coordinating training activities, delivering training to small groups of emergency responders and recommending improvements for a radiological emergency outreach program. GS 11: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer or Health Physicist drafting procedures, coordinating work activities, delivering training to small groups of Navy and non-Navy participants and participating in an emergency response or public outreach program. You will prepare technical and administrative procedures for medical and fire division response to reactor accidents and radiological emergencies and decontamination of injured and uninjured personnel.
You will be responsible for Shipyard training program for emergency response to reactor accidents and radiological emergencies.
You will develop and update lesson plans and answer keys and conduct training for radiological emergency response teams including Fed Fire, radiological response teams, and local hospitals.
You will provide technical consultation to Shipyard managers, medical and fire division personnel, and other specialists on response to radiological emergencies and on specific problems which may be encountered.
You will evaluate command and partner's performance and identify deficiencies in drills and training exercises and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
