Job Description:
This position is located in the Human Resources Division-Arlington, VA. The selectee of this position serves as a Management Analyst. You will be responsible for using quantitative analysis to address HRD and USMS business needs. This includes identifying the data needed to make better business decisions, identifying options for and setting up processes to collect and analyze the data, identifying trends or issues, and developing possible solutions.
GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted). You may qualify at the GS-0343-13 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications: Specialized Experience: One year of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as 1.) Creating and implementing an organization-wide new program or process from scratch, or making major revisions to one; 2.) Gathering information from a wide variety of sources (e.g., databases, laws and regulations, interviews, surveys, working groups, etc.) and summarizing it in a written, formal document; 3.) Gathering data and performing basic statistical analysis of data to identify issues or trends; and 4.) Independently designing simple computer tools (like an excel data tracking worksheet) or working with an IT resource to design more complex tools (like a SharePoint workflow system). As a Management Analyst at the GS-0343-13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Managing data analysis and reporting. Gathering and analyzing written and oral information. Implementing solutions for current programs or to stand-up new programs. Managing technology systems and information security processes. Managing audits and accountability.
