Job Description:
You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Training Requirements and Management (N9) Directorate of SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working with Curriculum Database System (CDS) currently Content Planning Module (CPM) and Learning Object Module (LOM); 2) Showing working knowledge of current and emerging concepts, principles, and practices in areas of learning theory, instructional technology, and/or instructional systems development to identify and evaluate changing training courses; 3) Using qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to identify problems, recommend solutions, and conduct comprehensive, complex studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs/initiatives to improve and optimize efficient utilization of resources assigned; 4) Showing a working knowledge or using analytical reasoning coupled with originality, initiative, resourcefulness, persuasiveness, diplomacy, and tact; 5) Developing new or modified work methods, organizational structures, management processes, and/or program administration procedures; 6) Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. You will Serves as a primary training expert and policy advisor to the SWSC Commanding Officer (Curriculum Control Authority (CCA)) and Training Requirements and Management (N9) Director.
You will review, approve, and route required documentation for government and contractor access to current SWSC CDS to support course development and revision.
You will monitor and evaluate course content for currency, applicability, adequacy, technical accuracy, and accomplishment of Learning Objectives.
You will review Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs) to ensure accurate documentation of resource requirements, including manpower, curriculum, and training personnel for effective course delivery.
