Basic Requirement for Supervisory Pharmacist: Degree: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors. Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience which includes dispensing medication and preparing pharmaceuticals in a Medical Facility.
Plan and direct pharmacy operations.
Interpret established service/hospital policies and procedures to supervised pharmacy staff.
Plan, organize, direct and evaluate pharmaceutical services provided. W
Serve as Pharmacist in charge of one of the organization units of the Pharmacy.
Screen prescriptions for dosage accuracy, toxicity and drug interactions prior to dispensing.
Assure all prescriptions are properly prepared, labeled and dispensed according to Army Regulations and professional standards.
Provide drug information and guidance to inpatients and outpatients concerning their prescribed drug therapy.
Provide clinical pharmacy services to the hospital professional staff and patient population.
