Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform common duties such as driver's maintenance in accordance with established regulations and loading and unloading of passengers and cargo. Complete vehicle utilization records and driver's accident report when necessary. Moderate physical effort is required in lifting, loading and unloading cargo. Receives assistance from other ware houseman, laborers, and equipment operators when moving items over 25 pounds. Required to work inside warehouse, in bin rooms, in open storage areas, and on receiving or shipping docks. WORKING CONDITIONS: May be exposed to cold, drafty, damp or hot weather while loading and unloading vehicle. Subject to possible injury from falling stock. Subject to bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving vehicles.
Drives trucks from 1 1/2 to 4 ton capacity, (22,000 lb. max gross vehicle weight) with up to six-wheel drive.
Transports personnel, articles and materials throughout the organization’s locations, public highways, and for long and short hauls.
Assures that cargo is properly located, distributed, secured, and that the vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity.
Perform driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations, as required by the workload.
Place stock into appropriate storage locations in accordance with instructions and established methods.
