Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Organizational Resources and Support Division, Business Operations Branch, 1 vacancy in the following locations: Euless, TX Indianapolis, IN Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Experience GS-14: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Serving as a point of contact for the coordination of audit-related activities; Coordinating audit-related information requests; Establishing or implementing risk mitigation strategies; Identifying internal control gaps and recommending improvements. This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Organizational Resources and Support (ORS) Division, Business Operations Branch. The Business Operations Branch is responsible for matters of business and program accountability and for sustaining a framework to promote business intelligence, corporate knowledge, and OFAM-wide processes as required to enable OFAM business decisions and promote OFAM program organizational maturity. The Business Operations Branch leverages innovation, integration, collaboration, and subject matter expertise to analyze and advocate for OFAM stakeholders. Specifically, the Business Operations Branch is responsible for OFAM audit management, enterprise risk and internal controls oversight, business information systems management, and OFAM Knowledge Management to include OFAM policies, records management, delegations of authority, and OFAM's collaborative information platforms. This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Typical duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Serving as the OFAM Audit Program Manager and is a liaison between OFAM and external auditors, including Audit Liaisons in the CBP Office of Accountability Management and Inspection Division (MID), U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), and Office of Inspector General (OIG). Acting as the primary liaison between Enterprise Services Audit Liaison, OFAM Divisions/Program Offices, and CBP audit stakeholders. Serving as the primary OFAM contact for coordination of audit-related activities. Leading or participating in meetings with internal or external parties to discuss processes, programs, and internal controls, as necessary. Assessing and reporting program and/or project risks and for collaborating with key stakeholders to establish and implement risk mitigation strategies.
