Job Description:

You will serve as a Lead Radar Systems Engineer in the EXPEDITIONARY RADARS ENGR BRANCH (B45), in the ADVANCED RADARS SYSTEMS DIVISION, in the ELECTROMAGNETIC & SENSOR SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist applying radar, sensor, combat system, or systems engineering principles to overseeing complex and integrated system requirements definition, risk assessment, and test and evaluation efforts. Examples may include: (1) leading staff consisting of a diverse team of scientists and engineers on complex engineering programs and technical reviews; (2) advising and proposing technical recommendations to leadership on engineering programs; (3) collaborating with stakeholders on the development, update, and application of processes, methodologies, and analyses associated with radar and systems engineering; (4) knowledge of the Department of War Acquisition process, systems engineering process, and radar system development, sensor system development, and/or combat system development. You will serve as Lead Radar Systems Engineer providing senior level technical oversight, direction, risk analysis and management for all engineering products in the B40 Expeditionary Radar portfolio.
You will review and approve all engineering and technical procedures and process within the portfolio including analysis tools, test plans, briefs, IT infrastructure and configuration management.
You will coordinate with PM Expeditionary Radars engineering staff to develop new capability roadmaps and schedules detailing products required from B40.
You will manage a team of government and contractor engineers, scientists, and support staff by providing tasking input to PMO SOW development.
You will coordinate with the Software Support Activity Lead and Program Manager to ensure software, engineering, and PMO schedules are met by completion of tasks and deliverables.
You will ensure the compatibility, interoperability and integration of all functional and physical interfaces.
You will verify the traceability and testability of all requirements prior to Test Readiness Reviews.
