This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Def Ind Base Facilities & Major Range/Test Facilities Base in DoD. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: The Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision to include: 1) Working from overhaul manuals, aircraft changes/bulletins, local directives, blueprints, wiring and/or schematic diagrams, charts, engineering instructions and other applicable written and/or verbal instructions; 2) Disassembling, repairing, assembling, adjusting and performing limited operational tests on the designation ordnance and egress gear, ejection seats, ordnance components (i.e., pylons, bomb racks, adapters, etc.) and other components as necessary; 3) Performing inventory all ordnance and airborne life support equipment on all incoming aircraft. You will work from overhaul manuals, aircraft bulletins, local directives, blueprints, and other written and verbal instructions.
You will disassemble, repair, assemble, adjust, and perform limited operational tests on the designated ordnance and egress gear, seats, and components.
You will de-arm, remove, install, and arm ejection seats and ordnance systems.
You will use test equipment as applicable to the trade, for example; load stands, automated test equipment, multimeters, go and no-go gages, pull gages, micrometers, inertia reel testers, etc.
