Job Description:

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Three years of experience evaluating, testing, or monitoring internal controls, including cash handling, inventories, operational procedures, or program controls, with responsibility for identifying deficiencies and documenting findings within a government, military, or large organizational, MCCS operations experience preferred. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to deal effectively and compassionately with others. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting of items up to 20 lbs. may be required.
Manages a variety of programs and processes within the Compliance & Risk Management Division of MCCS, for the benefit of all MCCS Divisions. Plans, develops, and conducts program analyses concerning all aspects of current and projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives. Makes recommendations for improvement within programs and then assists both within and between divisions in implementing the recommendations. Strong knowledge of MCCS infrastructure and organizational hierarchy, as well as exceptional people and negotiating skills, are necessary in order to accomplish the mission. Monitors and conducts observations and tests of both inventories and Internal Controls to ensure compliance with regulations, then reports findings to the supervisor. Coordinates Commanding Officer and Commanding General Inspection requests to ensure that Inspectors are available, trained, and that field reports are received on time. Consolidates reports into one Unit Inspection Report for submission to the supervisor. Develops, maintains, and monitors reporting systems affecting programs with an eye to potential or actual risk to MCCS assets and resources, and elevates any findings to the supervisor. Conducts program surveys and audits, and utilizes Continuous Process Improvement techniques to develop opportunities for the betterment of MCCS. Provides administrative oversight of Non-Federal Entities (NFEs) and Command units seeking to fundraise or otherwise use Base facilities. Coordinates subject requests with legal counsel as needed. Reviews and interprets new and established directives, instructions, and regulations for potential impact on program objectives, operating policies, work operations and progress. Conducts cash counts of MCCS activities, and coordinates follow-up actions as needed. Provides Customer Service to both internal and external customers. Assists customers and communicates positively and in a friendly manner. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems expeditiously. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact, for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, as well as any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to immediate supervisor utilizing established MCCS procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
