You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: As a general rule, education is not creditable above the GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education meets the specialized experience where it is DIRECTLY related to the work of the position. Serves as the Supervisory Recreation Assistant (Supervisory Lifeguard) at one of six lifeguard protected ocean beaches. Responsible for supervising and leading a staff of lifeguards in providing public safety, water-oriented assists and rescues, enforce beach regulations, administer first aid, scheduling and hiring staff, as well as providing informational services. Leads responses to water emergencies and leads water rescues in an ocean setting. Maintains constant watch over ocean assigned beach water areas to prevent accidents and water-oriented emergencies. May assist with conservation and park protection programs.
