Job Description:

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for formulating long-term human capital strategy and associated policies and processes to ensure the agency has the right workforce with the right skills to meet future security cooperation challenges.
You may qualify at the GS-14 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Overseeing the design, development, management and execution of talent development policies programs, and strategies, designing and implementing organizational development activities and programs, and leader development programs and strategies Formulating long-term human capital strategy, policies and processes Performing activities involving long-term planning and other strategic management approaches to develop integrated HC strategic plans Overseeing the strategic direction and management of workforce development programs and initiatives. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST at the GS-0201-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of training and development programs, including up-skilling, re-skilling, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives. Manages a staff of professional employees while performing the full range of supervisory duties and responsibilities. Employ change management process concepts and techniques by assessing organizational readiness for change, marketing organizational awareness, and leading change initiatives. Advises senior leadership on new or revised policies and priorities within the agency and their impact on programs and customers. Responsible for formulating long-term human capital strategy and associated policies and processes to ensure the agency has the right workforce with the right skills to meet future security cooperation challenges.
