Job Description:

You will serve as Principal Technical Manager for Air Vehicle Flight Controls / Vehicle Management Systems in the Air System Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Demonstrated technical expertise in applying DoD acquisition policy and strategy to the RDT&E of Air Systems Flight Controls and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS). You will serve as technical expert for Flight Controls/Vehicle Management Systems technologies to include aerodynamics, vehicle command and control, modeling/simulation system, redundancy management, and system performance.
You will provide technical leadership for the development with focus of integrating technologies into new and existing designs.
You will oversee execution of technical projects to ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering standards, airworthiness requirements, and environmental policies.
You will provide senior technical consultation and expertise to NAWCAD-AD and NAVAIR leadership as well as to ONR, DARPA, PEOs, SYSCOMS and the Navy.
You will guide the future direction of air vehicle engineering research and development to respond to future requirements.
