Job Description:

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access in Washington, D.C. The incumbent develops approaches to financial program delivery, improving existing rules, and regulations that ensure the 7(a) program serves the SBA mission to support entrepreneurship and small business growth opportunities in all U.S. markets.
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: (1) Analyzing and evaluating the financial statements of a business to structure commercial loans or determine eligibility within the SBA 7(a) program; and (2) Underwriting, approving, or liquidating SBA 7 (a) loans. As a Supervisory Financial & Loan Specialist, GS-1101-15, you will be responsible for: Plan, direct and oversee the activities of the 7(a) loan program. Plan, develop, and implement strategies for outreach and training activities. Develop and recommend Agency wide policies and procedures which govern Small Business Administrations (SBA's) 7(a) loan program. Develop and recommend the issuance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policy statements, interim regulations etc. governing the Agency's loan programs. Supervise employees regarding the completion of assignments in attainment of the goals set for the 7(a) loan program. Guide employees with knowledge of information relevant to the 7(a) loan program.
