You will serve as an HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUIT & PLACEMENT) in the TALENT ACQUISITION SHIPYARD DIRECTORATE of the OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: gathering and analyzing Human Resources concepts, laws, policies, precedents and procedures to provide recruitment and staffing support services. Examples of qualifying experience may include but are not limited to analyzing and interpreting qualification standards to assist with reviewing applicant qualifications to fill positions; or ensuring proper coding and legal authority codes for recruitment and non-recruitment actions. You will apply human resources concepts, laws, policies and practices in the provision of recruitment and placement services requiring the use of internal and/or external recruitment methods.
You will conduct job analyses by reviewing position descriptions and interpreting the Office of Personnel Management Position Classification and Qualifications Standards to create job opportunity announcement and issue/audit referral certificates.
You will create job opportunity announcements, ensuring that all information is clearly and concisely presented to potential candidates, and is in compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
You will research and apply the Office of Personnel Management position classification and qualification standards to support applicant qualification determinations.
