Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Engineering, Computing and Weapons Division of NAVAL ACADEMY.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in a college/university environment performing the following: educating students in engineering fields such as: naval architecture or mechanical, nuclear, aerospace, robotics and control, ocean, electrical, or computer engineering; 2) Performing a range administrative and engineering activities for a school; 3) Managing a laboratory, shop equipment and facilities for a specific engineering discipline; 4) Interacting with professional engineers, scientists, faculty members, and students in an engineering setting Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will handle multiple jobs simultaneously and applying different and unrelated methodologies in the decision process.
You will oversee that all items valued at $5,000 or more are also inventoried on "Plant Account" records. Initiates appropriate forms to transfer equipment within the school.
You will manage a comprehensive Planned Maintenance Program for ensuring the continued readiness of all equipment in the school.
