Job Description:

You will serve as an EVENT COORDINATOR in the Protocol and Events Department, of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing logistical support for conferences and events and resolving potential challenges; 2) Preparing event materials (e.g., agendas, online registration pages, official programs, fact and data books, name tags, etc.), in support of the execution of an event or conference; 3) Supporting high-profile events while ensuring compliance with proper procedures and protocol; and 4) Arranging travel and lodging for event support. You will serve as the event lead and provide logistical support for conferences, events, and ceremonies as assigned by director or conference organizer.
You will coordinate Naval War College (NWC) ceremonies including graduation ceremonies, an annual convocation ceremony, and change of command ceremonies.
You will coordinate, and prepare invitations, handout materials, travel orders, lodging arrangements, and security access lists for the official visits and events of the Naval War College (NWC).
You will assess the protocol and cultural requirements of attendees and, in consultation with the department director.
You will provide continual appraisal and analysis of command activities, including assessing potential benefits and/or reactions to planned events.
You will maintain the department purchase card and unit travel card, ensuring all required records and documentation are created and maintained in accordance with government credit card policy.
