You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Assisting with reviewing budget estimates, calling to the attention of senior officials, any new proposals and findings. AND - Experience with resource planning, performance analysis and financial policy development; AND - Documenting processes such as tracking performance metrics, developing reporting systems and analyzing data program effectiveness. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Assistant Administrator - Management CFO - Finance and Performance Budgeting Division. As a Budget Analyst, you will: Analyze the budget of TTB. Work with bureau budget and program officials in formulating the budgetary requirements. Prepare recommendations, work with the Administrator and other top Bureau officials on strategies for the most effective use of the Bureau s resources. Participate when necessary with the Assistant Administrator (Management), Deputy Administrator and Administrator and senior policy officials in conducting hearings and conferences regarding the budgetary requests of the Bureau.
