To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN), your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) or competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: - Designs and implements methodologies to correct operational and performance problems and manages major changes to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Non-SAP core suite applications and associated components that result from implementing changes, upgrades, and security fixes. - Knowledge of and skill in applying IT security principles, methods, and requirements sufficient to mitigate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Non-SAP core suite application security vulnerabilities to remain compliant with security requirements. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Responsible for administering enterprise level applications/tools in the Development, System Test, Stage and Production environments.
Provides subject matter expertise for the inter-system communication application components; ensures highly varied components with different operating systems, languages, utilities, and protocols operate as an integrated technical infrastructure.
Install and configure Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Non-SAP core suite applications, associated components, install security patches as required by the DLA Computer Emergency Response Team in the Development, System Test, and Stage environments.
Coordinate with various technical teams to support environment refreshes, urgent fixes such as “hot packages” and security patches that simultaneously affect the operating system, database and applications.
Coordinate regular code migration to include performing version maintenance for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Non-SAP core suite applications and components.
Provide technical support of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Non-SAP core suite applications and associated components including implementation planning, configuration, and integration testing.
Support product feature/limitation education and diagnostics through the appropriate vendor.
