Job Description:
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT in the Human Resources Office (HRO) of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical and administrative support performing most or all of the following duties: Performing office operations and administrative processes in the support of personnel functions to include preparing reports, memos, forms, letters and following proper routing procedures; Fielding customer questions and providing sound and effective communication to both internal and external customers; Collecting, entering, and retrieving data to identify, research, and problem-solve quality control issues. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing expertise in clerical and administrative support duties. Specialized experience must include performing most of the following duties: Assisting with administrative functions in the support of HR personnel actions; providing customer service and conducting work that requires familiarity and knowledge in general office equipment and computer software. You will serve as a Human Resources (HR) Assistant providing a variety of support services in the areas of staffing and recruitment, position management, classification, labor relations, employee relations, and provide program administrative support.
You will prepare and processes requests for personnel actions (RPAs) for standard recruit and non-recruit actions ensuring accuracy and completeness.
You will maintain recruitment folders with all mandatory required documents; tracks recruitment actions from start to finish ensuring timelines are met prior to setting Entrance on Duty (EOD) dates.
You will provide in-processing and new employee orientation for new hires to include completion of all required documentation.
You will respond to customer inquiries on matters such as procedures for submitting applications for employment, status of recruitment announcements, and types of vacancies in the organization.
You will assist with classification reviews by gathering information through audits with incumbents, discussion with supervisors, and reviewing classification standards and organizational charts.
You will assist in routine classification of lower-graded positions by analyzing duties, applying classification standards, and writing evaluating statements to justify title, series, and grade.
You will direct inquiries on disciplinary or adverse actions or labor relations to appropriate HR Specialists.
You will use HR Information Systems to complete tasks, retrieve data/files, and generate reports; and provide technical assistance to the staff and HR liaisons in using all HR information systems.
