Job Description:

This position is located at Schofield Barracks SGT. Yano Library, located on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (island of Oahu). The Schofield Library on Schofield Barracks, serves as a public library for the military communities of Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Air Field, Fort Shafter, HMR, and surrounding area. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience that provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions, system installation and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. OR Completion of a two year degree with a major course of study in computer science, information science, information systems management, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. Highly Qualification Criteria: Possess at least 2 years of experience as a customer service/help desk representative in an IT (information technology) setting. *Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under the minimum qualification criteria above. NOTE: Applicants who meet both minimum qualification criteria and highly qualification criteria will be referred to the selecting official for first consideration.
Provide technical support duties to customer support personnel. Serves as a help desk representative. Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents.
Researches, evaluates, and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns.
Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains customer hardware and software.
Provides training and instruction to enhance user performance. Sets system security levels based on under performance and appropriate regulations.
Develops and documents standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation procedures and policies.
