To qualify for a Logistics Program Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Identifying and coordinating all required logistics support between applicable Customer Relationship Management Cells and Supplier Operations, as well as Military Services. Working with logistics partners and major customers to identify planning support requirements in support of operational plans. Identifying trends or other factors adversely affecting program performance and developing recommendations for program improvements to help achieve/exceed expected performance. Representing the directorate when conducting and participating in meetings, briefings or conferences regarding strategic, operational and contingency planning programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Serves as a Troop Support Program Manager, within the Operations and Plans Directorate, for one or more of the nine Combatant Commands and/or one or more of the four executive agency supply/logistics programs.
Develops, implements, and makes recommendations regarding strategic operational plans.
Coordinates with personnel across multiple supply chains (Class I, II, IV, VIII and IX) in accomplishing various missions.
Utilizes the Joint Planning Process to conduct operational planning for all numbered operations, concept, and base plans for assigned Combatant Command Program.
Manages, coordinates, and directs the execution of strategic logistics planning and future operations planning efforts.
Represents the directorate when conducting and participating in meetings, briefings or conferences regarding strategic, operational, and contingency planning programs.
