Job Description:

You will serve as an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Systems Engineer) in the NAWCAD SE & ALRE Group (Lakehurst), Support Equipment Department, PEO (U&&W/JSF) PSE Division, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Branch of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional ELECTRICAL ENGINEER performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Providing systems engineering support for electrical product development, including requirements development, design, testing, and sustainment for complex systems such as ACAT 1 programs; 2) Managing the lifecycle of product development from initial requirements development through design, testing, and sustainment, including in-house organic development and contractor-led development; 3) Developing and implementing engineering solutions to address system requirements for electrical products, ensuring alignment with program objectives and technical specifications; 4) Collaborating with program offices, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure proper execution of product development and sustainment strategies; 5) Applying knowledge of systems engineering principles, electrical engineering concepts, and electrical systems to support the development and sustainment of product development. You will serve as a technical expert on systems engineering for electrical aircraft equipment, requiring a deep understanding of life-cycle analysis and operational characteristics
You will act as an advisor on tactical aircraft design and makes critical engineering decisions
You will lead major program phases, providing guidance to other professionals and coordinating efforts across teams
You will review designs, writes specifications, estimates costs, and manages projects, including long-range planning
You will mentor junior engineers and technicians
Yow will represent NAWCAD at high-level conferences and technical meetings
