You will serve as an Electronic Industrial Controls Mech. (Production Machinery Repairer) in the Facility and Infrastructure Management Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks including: 1) Performing diagnostic troubleshooting techniques on complex electronic industrial controls equipment such as Computer Controlled Test Cells, Automated Storage Kitting and Retrieval Systems (ASKARS) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines to analyze faults resulting in system failure; 2) Installing, replacing, maintaining, repairing, and/or modifying equipment using sketches, schematics, and verbal consultations with contractors to connect system operation; 3) Performing production equipment maintenance using scales, levels, feel gauges, calipers, and tachometers to repair, adjust, and test machinery and equipment such as small lathes, paint mixing equipment, conveyers, and liquid pumps; 4) Modifying test devices and work sequences to devise solutions for repairing one-of-a-kind systems in which unforeseen problems arise; and 5) Working with engineering personnel as an electronic maintenance expert to develop test and repair procedures. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. You will install, troubleshoot and repair the most complex electronic industrial controls equipment.
You will perform the more simple and routine tasks using scales, levels, feeler gauges, calipers and tachometers to repair, adjust, and test machinery and equipment such as small lathes, paint mixing equipment, conveyers and liquid pumps.
You will work with engineering personnel as electronic maintenance expert in the installation/operation of new equipment.
You will work primarily as a senior team member with production machinery mechanics to troubleshoot and differentiate between electronics and mechanical system problems.
