Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT in Code 312, CARRIER PROGRAM OFFICE of the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing and planning ship systems overhaul and repair projects by coordinating with managers of various trades to develop schedules utilizing manpower, equipment and financial resources to complete projects timely and within budget to support shipyard missions and objectives. You will be responsible for the overall effectiveness of the overhaul in terms of cost, quality, timeliness of completion and coordination all products and services.
You will determine long and short range needs for manpower, materials, equipment, and staff support to accomplish project goals.
You will coordinate the efforts of various trades and shipyard organizations to assure a successful overhaul.
You will manage material and overtime programs to assure proper execution, and recommend cost saving improvements.
You will conduct various meetings to ensure an accurate flow of information regarding schedule, cost, and material issues.
You will initiate changes in work priorities and programs emphasis to support overhaul schedules.
