About the Position: This position is located at Naval Health Clinic New England, Newport, Rhode Island. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management operations; implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets; and providing advice on methods for the use of funds to support the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Performs or advises on work in any of the bases or systems of budget administration.
Analyzes and recommends costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
Implements legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets.
Provides advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
Works within a variety of financial programs to include General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and Financial Management Information System (FMIS), and performing accounting and other financial management duties for the organization.
Supervises, sets priorities and schedules work as necessary to assure effective accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect daily work.
