MILITARY GRADES: E8 through CW2 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: **25 SERIES, 94 SERIES** GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to lead other NG employees engaged in the inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment. Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and to assign work and monitor progress. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of and skill in the repair of electronics equipment sufficient to organize and direct the work of others. Experience which demonstrates an applicant's ability to provide guidance to others in troubleshooting malfunctions. Experience which demonstrates an applicant's ability to instruct others in the use of precision measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical publications and providing guidance to others. **FWS POSITIONS ONLY**: Specialized Experience Requirements for NGB Federal Wage System Positions for claiming civilian job experience: Creditable experience must have been performed at least 30 consecutive days and be properly documented. Experience in the same line of work can only be credited on the basis of a regular 40-hour workweek. Hours per week MUST be documented on resume to receive any credit.
Serves as a working leader of three or more Electronics Mechanic positions. Assigns work orders to specific crewmembers and selects workers for various jobs on the basis of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Assures that there is enough work to keep everyone in the work crew busy.
Performs functional tests, analyzes performance and malfunctions, removes, installs, tests, maintains, modifies, performs alignments and troubleshoots a variety of combat and tactical equipment
Troubleshoots and repairs launch pod/container (LP/C), trainer rocket simulator modules, Missiles/Launchers Pod Assembly (M/LPA), trainer missile simulator modules, and various like items.
Performs field and limited sustainment maintenance to include installation, routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul of fixed and mobile operational communication and electronics systems.
Uses various types of test equipment to include systems test sets and stands to localize trouble by component unit, by circuit within a component, and by element of a circuit.
Performs administrative functions in establishing and maintaining maintenance records on equipment maintained or repaired.
May conduct or be involved in a Maintenance Assistance and Instruction Team (MAIT) or act as an inspector on a Command Maintenance Evaluation Team (COMET) on electronic, automation, communication, and equipment.
