Job Description:

You will serve as a Mechanical Engineer in the Support Equipment (SE) and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Group, Support Equipment Department, PEO(A) Division, P-8A/P-3/VH-92 SE Branch, VH-92 SE Program at NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing as a technical expert for all matters related to engineering disciplines as it relates to the design, development, analysis and sustainment of aircraft support equipment of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. 2) Utilizing knowledge and technical expertise of aviation support equipment to triage field problems. 3) Troubleshooting engineering investigations in order to provide in-service engineering support. 4) Utilizing in-service engineering processes to formulate technical solutions for improving support equipment. 5) Serving as lead engineer and providing guidance to others in the design, development and sustainment phases to ensure quality of fielded support equipment. 6.) Providing sustainment feedback and monitoring design changes. You will perform as a technical expert and develop written reports providing technical direction.
You will monitor progress of projects to ensure deadlines are met.
You will troubleshoot engineering investigations and provide in-service engineering support.
You will formulate and analyze technical solutions for development or improvement of Support Equipment (SE).
You will serve as the lead engineer and provide guidance to others in design, development and sustainment to ensure quality of fielded SE.
You will oversee SE configuration management and execute technical directives.
